G-Town Ladies

I had two opportunities to travel to G-town last fall. My first visit was with a family on my team and we spent 4 days in G-town. Sarah and I had the sweet blessing of doing a ladies training for about 30 ladies. Some of these ladies are from the city, but many travel quite a distance from surrounding villages to be a part of these trainings. The majority of the village ladies are illiterate but hungry to know more about the word and their Lrd. As Sarah and I shared the story of the Samaritan woman in John 4 it was amazing to see these ladies' eyes light up as many of them heard the story for the first time. Our team uses this story to encourage all followers that they can be bold tellers of the Good News. The ladies in G-town were encouraged to share their testimony with their village just as the Samaritan women did.

Doing a little exploring after the trainings

In November Danielle and I travelled back to G-town to do a follow up with these ladies. We recapped our last training and gave them further tools to use as they continue to share with their families and neighbors. During the training, on of the ladies talked with us and the pastors wife and shared she had never really believed in JC. We were able to talk with her more and she chose that day to believe in faith and trust in JC's work on the cross!

This sweet lady shared a song to help the ladies remember Matt 28.19-20 - so beautiful

Each day after the trainings we went with the Pastor and his wife to visit with people. We went to see some of the ladies from the training and shared with their neighbors. Three people trusted in JC that night! It is a humbling thing to sit in the dark with people who have never heard and share the story of our Father's love!

Please continue to lift up the ladies of G-town. I will be heading back there by myself this week and travelling out to 3 or 4 villages to share with some ladies. Ask the Father to prepare the hearts of these ladies to hear the truth and believe. Also lift up our contacts in these villages and ask the Father to give them boldness.
