New Things

As I reflected on the start of a New Year I thought about all the new things of this past year...

New country
New city
New culture
New friends
New language
New city (again)
New house (3 so far and looking for another new one!)

I also thought about my new city and the new work we are hoping to see started among cousins. It is a huge task! When I think about ME trying to do it and wonder how in the world we will ever see this new work started I get completely overwhelmed. But then I remember the Father is in the business of new things...

He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our G0d; 
Many will see and fear
And will trust in the L0rd ~ Ps 40.3
~ Ask that many cousins in this city will trust in Him.

Behold, I am doing a new thing; 
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert. ~ Is 43.19
~ Ask the Father to do a new thing in this city

And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them. And they shall be my people, and I will be their G0d. ~ Ez 11.19,20
