What I have been up to and what I am learning these days

The last month has been a whirlwind for sure! I have been looking for a new flat, thought I found one, packed up all my things only to find out the apartment fell through, looked for more flats and finally moved on Sunday! Oh yeah throw in a week long language intensive and 2 trips to another city and now setting up my house again. Whew…I am just a little tired but also excited to be settled…AGAINJ

This month has also been somewhat of a roller coaster on my emotions and definitely a challenge to trust the Father.  When everything fell through with the flat my first reaction was NOT to wait patiently on the Father. I was discouraged, to say the least, and questioned the Father’s presence in it all. It ‘felt’ like He was working AGAINST me not FOR me. Not true I know, but it was definitely a struggle. I am thankful for some great friends who spoke words of encouragement and truth to me at the exact time I needed it.

The very next morning as I sat in my house full of boxes, with no place to go, I read in Exodus about the Israelites flight from Egypt. I was humbled and challenged as I saw myself in them. I, just like them, was too quick to throw up my hands in doubt before the Father and question his presence.  How often do I do this....too much! I CANNOT allow my circumstances, whatever they are, to raise doubts about the reality of the Father’s sovereign control of my life.  I know there are many more difficult times ahead. I want these current bumps in the road to strengthen my faith for the challenges that will surely come.

The Father is abundant in his faithfulness and provision. I am humbled and broken over my weak faith as I sit in a house that is far above anything I could have ever asked or imagined him to provide! Thank you for being faithful to lift me up. My heart’s desire is to regain focus on the task at hand and not allow the enemy to constantly distract me with all these trivial things.

I hope to post pictures of my new place soon for those of you who care to see
