I got home to my city on Sunday night. This was the weekly forecast. Let's just say it is HOTTT here! It was especially shocking since my last day in the mountains it was only 65! It has been a long few days waiting for AC's to get installed. PTL they finally came this afternoon and installed the one for my bedroom....somebody is going to be sleeping good tonight!
So water issues seem to be a "running" theme (pun intended) in my journey here in South Asia. I came home to some discolored water. This picture is actually much improved from the tomato juice colored water that first came out of my pipes, it's is a little more like grapefruit juice. My landlords jokingly said "It's ok for you to bathe in pink water...you are already pink!"
Before you get too concerned about me, I have buckets of fresh water to use and my landlords are working on correcting the problem. However, there are many people in my city and state who are suffering from water shortages. I have heard of some places in my city only getting water for 45 minutes every other day. The problem is worse in other parts of the state. Please, PLEASE lift up the people here and ask the Father to provide for their essential need of water and that would come to know The Living Water...
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
O G0d, you are my G0d; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
~Psalm 63.1
May this be the cry of my heart and one day the cry of the hearts of many women here.
