Meet my washing machine. If doing laundry wasn't already one of my least favorite chores, it is now:) We first fill up the left side with water and detergent, then add our clothes for the wash cycle (35 min). Our landlady told it was best to go through 2 cycles! So... 1 hour later we drain the water and cram our clothes into the tube on the left for the spin cycle. Luckily that is just about 5 min or so and then we hang our clothes out to dry. On a nice warm South Asian day our clothes will be dry in an hour or so!
