Here at Last!

I made it, along with my other team members, around midnight here on Thursday.  We had an uneventful flight, no problems in customs, and all 29 bags made it – and no, not all 29 bags were mine ;)

The Father showed me care in such sweet ways all along the journey. On the very first leg of the trip I was asked to move seats to give a couple with a baby some extra room. I was surprised to find myself sitting in the crew’s rest seats, where I was able to fully recline the whole trip, with a full size pillow, and super comfy blanket!! It was wonderful and I slept almost the entire flight.  It may be the closest I ever get to first class!

When we arrived to our hotels, at about 3 a.m we went to bed pretty quickly and I was able to sleep through the night! We have been out and around the city riding on the metro, taking auto rickshaws (autos), buying appropriate clothing, and eating some AmAziNgLy good food!

Last night my teammate, another coworker, and I went to the Embassy to celebrate July 4th

There were a lot of different foods from home…hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, barbeque, fries, apple pie, ice cream and brownies.  I haven’t been here long enough to really appreciate such hard to get items but we had a great time. Hopefully you can tell things are going well so far!  Thanks for remembering me!
