Last week I had the sweet opportunity to visit with people suffering from Hansen's Disease (Leprosy) with another worker here. They live and work in a very peaceful compound-like area. There were people of all ages. They work primarily with cotton and make beautiful scarves, bags, and other textiles. They do everything from beginning to end themselves including dying the cotton.
After my friend asked me to go with her, I began thinking what will I do or say??? I know maybe 4 or 5 sentences in their language! I can barely tell them my name let alone who Jesus is! Then I remembered Matthew 25. 34-40. "...I was sick and you visited me...as you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me."
The Lord is fully aware of all that I am incapable of doing right now. I want to bring Him much glory and serve Him even if, for now, it is only through some broken language, a smile, a touch, and time.
